Mad Hatters, released in June 2006, is a Microgaming-owned fantasy-themed video slot. Other “mad” slot games from Microgaming are Money Mad Monkey (September 2011) and Mad Dash (October 2010). Mad Hatters is a slot game adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s 1865 fantasy book called Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. It is named after one of the book’s characters called the Mad Hatter—he wears a top hat and convenes a tea party. “Mad Hatters” is a collective name for three people on the brand logo who are clad in funny hats. Three symbols—the “Wild” top hat, teacup and saucer set, and queen cake—require two, three, four, or five matching symbols; the other symbols require three, four, or five winning combinations.
