So you’re new to the casino game Let It Ride. You’re all read up on the rules and strategy – but you’re confused about some of the let it ride lingo or terminology? Or perhaps you just want to wow the people at the table by dropping some let it ride slang and appearing like an expert?

Bonus Bet: See Side Bet.

Circle 1, 2 & 3: Where you place your 3 bets. Also known as the betting circles.

Community Cards: The two cards that the dealer will turn over. These cards are shared by all of the players at the table, and you combine them with your own cards for your five card poker hand.

House Edge: The advantage the casino has over the player. Usually around 3.5% but it can differ depending on the payoffs.

Let Bet 1 Ride: When the first round of betting starts, you choose to let bet 1 ride, meaning you leave that bet on the table.

Let Bet 2 Ride: As above, but you are letting the middle bet ride.

Let It Ride: When you wish to indicate that you will let both bets ride – meaning you won’t take any back. Usually done with either a made hand, or a strong drawing hand.

Payoff: The amount you will win if you get that particular hand.

Shuffle Master: The company behind Let It Ride, now known as SHFL Entertainment Incorporated.

Side Bet: An additional bet you can make at the tables, usually for $1. This goes above the 3 bets that you place, and will pay off a bonus when you hit certain hands. The bonuses will change depending on the casino.
