I love playing blackjack. I like it in its purest form, but I also love Blackjack Switch, Perfect Pair Blackjack, Pontoon, Multi-Hand Blackjack and Blackjack Surrender. Basically, if there’s a blackjack game out there, I’ve played it and I’ve enjoyed it.
But why do I like it?
Well, first off, you can get a lot of action. It’s the first game I turn to if I feel like getting a lot of action at the tables. I’ll usually load up Jackpot City Casino, as they have a huge selection of blackjack games on offer and I’ll hit the multi-hand tables and play four boxes at a time.
(Of course, I load up Jackpot City Casino because I live outside the US. If you’re an American Blackjack player, your best option is Rialto Casino)
The turnover of hands is super fast, so my desire for action gets satisfied quickly. I guess that’s one reason why it’s so much fun: if you lose a hand, the chance to win is a matter of seconds away. Seriously, when you play roulette, you have to wait for the ball to spin and you probably want to make a few bets and it takes time, craps can be painfully slow if you’ve only bet the pass line and the various poker games take a bit longer than blackjack to complete a hand. So, I can just click a couple of buttons and I’m playing several hands of blackjack at once and they just keep coming fast and furious until I decide to quit. Plus, you can gamble during a hand and you can’t do that during the spin of a roulette wheel. There are games where I can double on any number if I see fit and splitting cards gives me an extra hand to play. Blackjack really can end up being the action junkie’s game of choice.
Is there any other reason why blackjack is fun to play? Oh, of course there is. See, blackjack has such a small house edge if you play the right strategy that you can, in theory, beat the game. So, it’s nice knowing that the house isn’t screwing you and you have a chance to beat the game in the long run. Of course this is better online than offline. If you’re playing offline and half the table are just taking cards until they get 17+ and not worrying about what the dealer has, it’s painful. Yes, they’re entitled to do whatever they want, but I’m usually sat there with my head in my hands as they peel off a card on 16 with the dealer showing a 6. But at least when I play online, the only person I can get annoyed at is myself and because I try to keep playing perfect strategy, I don’t get angry too often. Thus, it starts to become therapeutic when it starts to pay off and I’ve made the right decision.
Plus, some games give the player an even slighter edge. Face Up 21 is fantastic fun because you can see what both the dealer’s cards are as opposed to just one. So, it really helps you play to the optimum when you know where you stand. If you want to try that out, head on over to Bovada. I honestly can’t recommend playing Face Up 21 enough, because you do tend to win more and winning more playing blackjack makes a fun game 100 times more fun.
So, there you have it – blackjack is a fast paced casino game with a very small house edge and, if you know the right strategies, make the right plays and, if you’re playing live, you know some basic card counting, then you have a slight edge on the house instead of them having it over you. These are the main reasons it’s fun. I mean, we all play at casinos to win money, right? Well, blackjack is one of the easiest games to do it on. Plus, with all the different types of blackjack you can play (try Blackjack Switch if you haven’t already over at Titan Casino, as I’m currently obsessed with it), there’s always going to be at least a couple of variations of blackjack that you’ll find fun.
