Perfect Pairs Blackjack Classic is an online variation of blackjack which is a close hybrid of traditional blackjack and Perfect Pairs Blackjack from Felt Gaming. The game is a close match of regular blackjack with the exception of the Perfect Fairs side bet that is the most prominent feature of the game. the main bet is won the same way as in regular blackjack and the Perfect Pairs side bet requires the player to get two matching cards on the opening hand.

The side bet is optional and should be equal to or more than the regular bet, which varies from a 0.1 to 500.00 credits.

The size of the side bet payout is dependent on the degree to which the two cards match. If the cards are of a matching color but different suits, the payout is 5 to 1. A matching suit and non-matching color pair gives a payout of 10 to 1 while a matching suits and color pair has a 30:1 payout.

The player can use between one and six decks. Gameplay begins with the dealer handing out two cards each to himself and to the player. One of the dealer’s cards is dealt face up while the other one is facedown. If the face-up card is an ace or a value ten card, the dealer is allowed to check the other card to see if he has a blackjack.

If he has a blackjack, the dealer wins the game and the player forfeits his main bet. In order to cut his losses from such an eventuality, the player can place an insurance bet at the start of the game. The insurance bet pays off at 2:1 and is won if the dealer does have a blackjack on his opening hand. If the dealer fails to get a blackjack, the insurance bet is forfeited and the game continues for the remaining stakes.

The player is allowed to make a variety of moves depending on circumstances including standing, hitting, doubling down and splitting. Splitting can be done for all pairs of matching value including aces. When the split pair are aces, each ace is assigned an additional card giving the player an extra hand. In this case, if the resultant hand is a blackjack, it does not count towards winning the game. The player wins the main bet if the total of their hand is closer to 21 than the dealer’s without exceeding 21. The bet gives a payoff of 3:2, with the dealer being required to maintain a soft 17 throughout the game.
