At it’s core, the Low/Middle/High Roulette Betting System is exactly the same as the martingale system, just disguised a lot better. Don’t worry though – it’ll lose you money just like the Martingale does!
Lets first explain exactly how the Low / Middle / High Roulette Betting System works. In Roulette, you can make bets on the low, middle and high number columns. You get a return of 2 to 1 for every winning bet, and have slightly worse odds than 1 in 3 for winning one bet.

These columns are also known as the 1st 12, 2nd 12 and 3rd 12, so you may also know this betting system as the “12s Roulette Betting System”.
The first column which you can bet on has the numbers 1 through 12 in it. The second column offers 13 through 24, and the final column allows you to bet on 25 through 36.
How this Roulette Betting System “works” is simple – you separate each number in a block of fives. So for example, in the last five spins the roulette ball hasn’t landed on the 1st 12. Well, now it’s time to start betting because “odds are” it will land on the 1st 12, due to the law of averages right?
Unfortunately, that isn’t the case. Each spin is independent of the other. You could spin the roulette wheel 300 times and it doesn’t “have” to hit the 1st 12. It’s a gamblers fallacy that people just can’t wrap their head around. If you flip a coin 10 times and it’s heads every time, does that mean it is more likely to be tails on the 11th spin? Of course not.
Where the whole Martingale aspect of this roulette betting system comes in is the stakes. If after 5 spins a low number has not came up, then you bet $1. If it still doesn’t come up, you bet $2. Then $3. And $4. Then it starts jumping to $6, and $13, and $3, and $67 and so on and so forth, as you start chasing your losses, risking hundreds of dollars just to make a profit of $2.
Now – that’s not to say this can’t be made into a fun betting system. The fact is – betting systems CAN be fun, and can spice up a game. However you should only use these sort of betting systems for entertainment purposes, and never bet more than you can afford. Rather than the progressive betting, stick to flat betting because you’ll lose less money, and still have the same amount of fun.
