Harvest Fest

Harvest Fest, which Booming Games released in November 2016, is a video slot game adaptation of the famous Mid-Autumn Festival. A notable theme in Harvest Fest is the night-time Chinese moon festival, which Asians celebrate annually, between September and October. Booming Games has other festival-inspired games, namely Wunderfest (September 2017), Wunderfest Deluxe (September 2018) and Octoberfest. The rival games include Microgaming’s Sweet Harvest, GamingSoft’s Golden Harvest, and Aristocrat’s Moon Festival.

Harvesting crops is among the aims of the moon festival. “Harvest Festival” has been shortened to “Harvest Fest”, the game’s name. Five of the Harvest Fest symbols require two, three, four, or five winning combinations; eight symbols require three, four, or five combinations.

Harvest Fest Game Characteristics
Harvest Fest’s major characteristics include a 5X3 grid, a win multiplier, an extra symbol, stacked Wilds, and 25 adjustable pay lines. These are the thirteen Harvest Fest symbols. The special symbols are: a “Wild” and substituting moon goddess called Chang-o (chang’e), whose is also the win multiplier; and the scatter and free spins trigger is a mooncake.

These are the ordinary symbols of Harvest Fest: a multicolored dragon’s head; a moon rabbit dressed in red, working on a pestle and mortar; an image of two lovers, dressed in purple and yellow, with a full moon in the background; ten round Chinese lanterns hovering above a pagoda temple; a lone rectangular Chinese lantern; and golden yellow letters K and Q, and numbers 7, 8, 9, and 10.

These are the Harvest Fest coin values: $0.01, $0.02, $0.03, $0.05, $0.10, $0.20, $0.30, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, $5.00, $10.00, and $20.00. These are examples of Harvest Fest total bets, specifically for five, ten, 15, 20, and 25 pay lines. The minimum bet is $0.01.

Five pay lines: $0.05, $0.10, $0.15, $0.25, $0.50, $1.00, $1.50, $2.50, $5.00, $10.00, $15.00, $25.00, $50.00, and $100.00. Ten pay lines: $0.10, $0.20, $0.30, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $30.00, $50.00, $100.00, and $200.00. Fifteen pay lines: $0.15, $0.30, $0.45, $0.75, $1.50, $3.00, $4.50, $7.50, $15.00, $30.00, $45.00, $75.00, $150.00, and $300.00. Twenty pay lines: $0.20, $0.40, $0.60, $1.00, $2.00, $4.00, $6.00, $10.00, $20.00, $40.00, $60.00, $100.00, $200.00, and $400.00. All twenty-five pay lines: $0.25, $0.50, $0.75, $1.25, $2.50, $5.00, $7.50, $12.50, $25.00, $50.00, $75.00, $125.00, $250.00, and $500.00.

According to the $500.00 maximum bet, these are the Harvest Fest payouts. Two, three, four, and five winning combinations: moon goddess Chang-o pays $200.00, $5000.00, $50000.00, and $200000.00; the mooncake pays $500.00, $2500.00, $5000.00, and $50000.00; either the dragon’s head, or the moon rabbit pays $40.00, $500.00, $2500.00, and $14000.00; and 7’s pay $40.00, $100.00, $500.00, and $2000.00.

Three, four, and five winning combinations: the two lovers pay $400.00, $2000.00, and $8000.00; either the pagoda temple, or the rectangular Chinese lantern pays $300.00, $1500.00, and $5000.00; either the K, or the Q pays $200.00, $1000.00, and $3000.00; and either the 8, or 9, or 10 pays $100.00, $500.00, and $2000.00.

More than three mooncakes offer the ten free games. The X2 win multiplier doubles up on the regular wins that are mixed with Wilds, but the multiplier is void on combinations with Wilds only. The non-progressive jackpot of Harvest Fest is $200000.00.

The Harvest Fest software is good, but it lacks a Gamble feature. The interesting instrumentals include the erhu (violin) and guzheng (zither). The symbolism is a melting pot of both folklores (like the moon rabbit) and legends like Chang’e and the mooncakes that the ancient Chinese reportedly used when fighting the Mongol rulers. The 3D graphics are appealing, including the silhoutte of the pagoda buildings and trees against the blue star-studded sky, the ashen full moon, and the mooncake-inspired setting buttons.

Luck in Harvest Fest
The RTP rate of Harvest Fest, a game of chance, is 97.10% and the house edge is 2.90%.
