Williams Interactive has other knight-themed slot games, including Knight’s Keep (October 2012) and Valiant Knight.

William Interactive’s other relatable games: Spartacus Call to Arms (April 2017), Kronos (March 2013), Roman Chariots (January 2015), Lancelot (November 2012), Clash of the Titans (June 2011), Lady of Athens, Laredo, and Plataea (November 2010). Black Knight’s rival slots include Knight’s Life (August 2015) from Merkur Gaming, Knight’s Saga (December 2018) Skywind Gaming, and Golden Knight (November 2014) from High 5 Games.

The game’s title “Black knight” means a Medieval-era cavalry warrior in dark armor. Eight symbols (king, queen, jester, crown, orb, ring, map, and scepter) require three, four, or five winning combinations.

Black Knight Game Characteristics

Black Knight has an unpartitioned gold-framed parchment yellow 5X3 grid; 10 fixed paylines, ten symbols, 16 total bets, bet multiplier, free games, expanding and locked black knights, and has self-adjusting payouts ranging from $1.00 to $125,000.00.

Black Knight has two special symbols and eight ordinary symbols. Special symbols: the free games-triggering feature is a horse-embossed black-and-golden “bonus” heater shield on a purple background; and the substitute-and-wild is a knight in a dark full plate armor—the knight can substitute for every symbol apart from the heater shield when under $1.00 is staked.

The ordinary symbols: a brown-haired medieval king in a purple-and-red robe; a golden-haired medieval queen in a white-and-purple costume; a jester in a blue costume; a golden crown on a tasseled red-and-golden jewel box; a cross-embedded golden orb; a horsehead-embossed golden-and-black ring; a topographic map; and a gem-embedded black-and-golden scepter.

The red “—” and green “+” buttons beneath the “total bet” icon are for adjusting the bet sizes. The Black Knight total bets: $0.10 (minimum), $0.20, $0.30, $0.50, $1.00, $2.00, $3.00, $5.00, $10.00, $20.00, $30.00, $50.00, $100.00, $200.00, $300.00, and $500.00 (maximum).

The $500.00 bet yields these Black Knight payouts for three, four, and five winning combinations. King pays $2,500.00, $12,500.00, and $125,000.00. Queen pays $750.00, $5000.00, and $12,500.00. Jester pays $750.00, $2,500.00, and $12,500.00. Crown, or orb pays $500.00, $1000.00, and $5,000.00. Ring, or map, or scepter pays $250.00, $500.00, and $2,500.00.

In the regular game, five “bonus” shields offer a X500 bet multiplier, whose highest amount (500X500) is $25,000.00. The 20 Big Bet Game’s jackpot is $500.00. Four “bonus” shields offer 12 free games, while three “bonus” shields offer 7 free games. Its “game rules” states that Black Knight’s non-progressive jackpot is capped at $250,000.00.

The good Black Knight software features include: golden icons; on/off sound; 10, 50, 100, or 200 autospin rounds with stop after losing from $1.00 to $100,000.00, and whose single limits are from $0.50 to $10,000 (or never). There are medieval sounds. There is a purplish medieval castle in the background; the 3D graphics are not animated as such, but there are glowing symbols and bobbing horseman during the dusty gallops.
