Scratch Cards: The Base Two Betting System

The Base Two betting system is a wonderfully simple betting system that you can use when playing scratch cards. Unlike a lot of betting systems, you don’t have to have a huge bankroll to use the Base Two betting system and you can use it for any game in the casino, but we do like using it when playing scratch cards, especially the scratch cards at Bovada Casino.

The Base Two betting system is a progressive betting system in that it all revolves around the player winning or losing. In this case, it would depend on whether the player had a winning scratch card or a losing scratch card. It uses the idea of “gambler’s fallacy” that hot streaks and cold streaks exist. While we at Casino Answers don’t believe in this idea, the Base Two betting system is still a fun way to add some variation your scratch card playing.

To start using the Base Two betting system, you need to pick a maximum bet and a minimum bet size. It should be a small percentage of your bankroll so that you don’t end up losing everything playing scratch cards. While the temptation is to make your maximum bet big, it’s not worth it. Keep it sensible and you’ll get the most enjoyment out of your scratch cards. We will say our minimum bet is $1 and our maximum bet is $5 and we’ll play the scratch cards at Bovada Casino.

Now, because the Base Two betting system is a progressive betting system, it relies on a player winning to move up the system. So, let’s say we fire up the Bingo Scratch game at Bodog Casino and Bovada Casino and put this system into action. We’ll start with wagering $1 on our first scratch card. Unfortunately we don’t win, so the Base Two betting system dictates that we don’t get to move to the maximum bet until we get a win. We try again and this time our scratch card wins.

How much we won isn’t the important part, the important part is that we get to move up to our maximum bet. So, our next scratch card will be a $5 bet. If this scratch card wins, according to the Base Two betting system, we move back down to our minimum bet. If the bet loses, we stay on our maximum bet until we get a winner. Or until our bankroll is depleted.

So, in short, the system says that you have two bets and you keep on alternating them every time you win. When you lose you make the same bet until you get a winning scratch card.

To be honest, it’s a bit like a boring version of the Base Five betting system and while it’s fun to try it, there are better systems out there to try when playing scratch cards. I would recommend trying out the Base Five betting system when you’re playing your scratch cards and you might want to have a bit of variation in what scratch cards you play, so if Bovada Casino isn’t enough for you, check out the great scratch cards at Slots Oasis.
