Titan Casino Blog – Day 1

Welcome to the first day of the Titan Casino blog. Titan Casino uses the Playtech software and is a new online casino, launching approximately 6 months ago.

We’ve got a $100 bonus to clear and a $200 starting balance with a 20x playthrough – so let’s get started shall we….

Here is the Titan Casino lobby:

As you can see it is VERY nicely laid out. No clicking is even required – you simply hover over one of the sections listed and it shows everything for you:

I think I’m going to start off with an arcade game for fun. When you choose a game to download a popup appears that tells you it is downloading, and that you can play other games in the background when it downloads. I choose the Penalty Shoot out Arcade Game which looks like this:

Should be fairly easy to understand how that works. You choose how much you want to bet then click where you want to kick the ball. An animation pops up of the player running at the goal then he kicks it and the keeper trys to save it:

Really cool. I bet $0.50 on the 5x one, and it takes exactly 5 shots for me to break even with my first goal woohoo:

That’s a fun game. My next shot I bet $0.50 on one of the 12x options and SCORE – woohoo:

However after being forced to play slots, keno and scratch cards in my Slots Oasis Casino Blog, I decide to hit up some much needed video poker action. We’ll go with the nice standard Jacks or Better Video Poker game – and I’m really digging the old school look:

We’ll be betting $5 a game doing the maximum 5 coins for the highest expected value possible, and as you see above we get off to a great start with three of a kind to win $15.

The software also of course recognizes when you have a good hand, and auto holds those cards for you. Of course this is standard – but I’ve actually played at some video poker machines where you couldn’t do that.

When you win a hand, you get the option to Double, Double Half or Collect. Collect is obvious – you just collect your winnings and move onto the next hand. If you choose to Double you then get dealt one card out of five as shown below face up, and you get 4 face down cards to choose from. You then have to select one of the cards that are higher than the card you have – if you get it right you get to collect or double again. If it’s even then you get the chance to collect or double, and if it is lower you of course lose.

Half Double means you collect half your winnings and risk the rest, which is a really cool option.

I drew a and the card I chose was a which meant I won, and get the option to double again:

Always enjoy those little mini games within video poker.

The very next hand I get for another three of a kind, making a nice run of wins as I have gotten two three of a kinds and two pair.

A few hands later I pick up the and decide to hold, and get the for a nice straight:

I should note that if you get a hand like it doesn’t hold any of them – so you do have to choose to hold those ones manually. You also have the option to hide the double up window in video poker which is really cool – I always get tempted to double up even though it’s totally -EV, so it’s good to be able to hide that.

I decide to hit up the Golden Tour Five Reel Multi-Line Video Slot to finish off the day – this is how it looks:

The first few spins we win $3, $2 and $3, then on the 4th spin:

We hit a nice $32 win.

Also if you notice up at the top right – they have something called Dollar Ball. For this slot machine rather than a progressive jackpot as you spin the slots they have this – it’s basically like the lottery. You bet $1.20 and pick 5 numbers from 49 numbers. You also have the option of randomly picking. The numbers then appear during the spin of the main game, and if any of the numbers match your selection you win money!

As you can see in the below screenshot I won $1.20 at it, as well as $2 on the slots for a total winning of $3.20:

Also on this slot I should note you win almost every time – it’s usually just amounts below what you wagered. I was wagering $5 a spin and winning $2 or $3 the majority of the time.

We end up not having much luck on the Golden Tour slot however and our balance promptly drops to $149.60.

I’ll be back tomorrow as we hit up some Live Dealer Tables.
